IYNA Summer Course 2022
Hi! Thank you so much for your interest in the summer course! We are really excited to meet everyone! First, some logistics:
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________

For Participants:
1. Complete the interest form though this google form. It is not required to attend the course, but those who do fill out the form will be emailed important dates and information for the course so that you do not miss important deadlines.
2. Complete the course application. This year, we can only offer the course to 300 students, so please fill out the form thoughtfully. This application will NOT be first come first serve. Anyone who fills out the form before the deadline will be considered equally. The deadline to fill out the form is May 21st.
Note: the previous deadline was May 10th. Anyone who has applied by May 10th will be considered for a spot in the course. We will offer some acceptances on this "first round", and we will place some people into the "second round". First round acceptances will be given on May 22nd. Second round acceptances will be given by May 27th to anyone who filled out the application by May 21st. The application will officially close after May 21st.
3. Complete your registration materials and confirm your recitation time by June 7th to enroll in the course.

Important notes:
1. If you do not get a spot in the course, you will be placed on a waitlist. Waitlisted applicants may be notified of a spot upon one opening up. Waitlisted students may be notified anytime up until Friday July 1st.
2. While the interest form is nonbinding, the application form is binding. Please do not fill out the application form if you do not plan on attending the full course. We previously received over 500 applicants to the summer course, and as we can only accept 300 students, we want to make sure those we offer this opportunity to are serious about the course. Thank you for understanding.

Selected applicants will receive an invitation to interview between May 10th and May 21st depending on when you apply. The interviews will be conducted between the 15th and 30th.
2. Attend your interview. Applicants will hear back regarding their acceptance by June 4th.
3. Accepted TAs will be expected to attend a mandatory TA orientation session in June (multiple time slots will be available to accommodate TAs in all time zones).

Important Notes:
1. All TAs will be required to host two-hour discussion sections (~15 students per section) each Wednesday and Friday for the duration of the course. TAs may schedule their discussion section at their discretion, but we expect section times to be held consistent for the duration of the summer course.
